Accessibility Statement

We, the Tux-Finkenberg Tourism Board, are committed to making our website www.tux.at accessible in accordance with Section 14b of the Tyrolean Anti-Discrimination Act 2005 and the Austrian Accessibility Act (BaFG). This accessibility statement is based on Directive (EU) 2016/2102 on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies, as well as the European Standard EN 301 549 in its current version.

This statement applies to the entire website www.tux.at.

Compiance Status

This website is only partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 at conformance level AA and the European Standard EN 301 549 due to the reasons outlined below, including the use of certain third-party systems and technical limitations.

Non-accessible content

a) Incompatibility with the BaFG

The following content and functions are currently not fully accessible due to technical or structural limitations:

  • C.9.1.1.1 For some non-text content presented to users, there is no equivalent text alternative that serves the same purpose.

  • C.9.1.3.1 In some cases, information, structure, or relationships conveyed through the presentation of pages cannot be programmatically determined (or are not available via text).
  • C.9.1.3.2 In some instances where the order in which content is presented affects its meaning, this order is only visual and not structural.
  • C.9.1.4.3 The visual presentation of text and images containing text does not always meet the required minimum contrast ratio, except for the exemptions provided in the regulations (e.g., logos).
  • C.9.1.4.10 Content that does not require a two-dimensional layout (such as data tables or maps) is not reflowed when resized.
  • C.9.2.1.1 Some features cannot be operated through a keyboard (or an equivalent input interface).
  • C.9.2.2.2 Some animations, blinking, scrolling, or auto-updating information are automatically started, last longer than five seconds, or are presented simultaneously with other content, and there are no mechanisms to stop or hide them.
  • C.9.2.4.3 On some web pages that can be navigated sequentially and where navigation order affects meaning and functionality, some focusable objects do not receive focus in an order that preserves their meaning and operability.
  • C.9.2.4.6 Headings and/or labels do not sufficiently describe the content or functionality.
  • C.9.3.3.2 In some cases, no labels or instructions are provided when user input is required.
  • C.9.4.1.2 In some instances, user interface components (including form elements, links, and script-generated components...) do not have their name, role, status, properties, and values correctly set or updated, or assistive technologies and users are not notified of changes.
  • C.9.4.1.3 In some cases, status messages are not presented to users in a way that assistive technologies can interpret them without shifting focus.

These issues reflect the findings identified by the Office for Equal Treatment and Anti-discrimination of the Tyrolean Regional Government.

b) Disproportionate burden

The following content currently represents a disproportionate burden:

  • PDF documents integrated within the TOSC5 booking system provided by feratel cannot be made accessible by the Tourism Board.
  • PDF documents provided by external partners cannot be corrected or adapted by us for technical and organisational reasons. We do, however, consistently inform all partners of the need to provide accessible documents.
  • An accessible version of this statement in Easy Language cannot currently be provided, but is planned in the context of a future website relaunch.

These elements are therefore exempt under Article 5 of Directive (EU) 2016/2102.

c) The content does not fall within the scope of the applicable legislation

  • A sign language version of this statement is not required under Directive (EU) 2016/2102.
  • Elements of third-party systems (e.g., feratel booking tools, externally provided PDF documents) fall outside our technical responsibility.

Preparation of this accessibility statement

This statement was originally created on 23 September 2020.

The most recent assessment of compliance with the BaFG and WCAG 2.1 AA was carried out in December 2025 through an internal evaluation and by taking into account the findings of the Office for Equal Treatment and Anti-discrimination.
This statement was last reviewed on 01 December 2025.
