E-Mountainbiking

Actively enjoy the impressive nature! With the e-mountain bikes you drive environmentally friendly through the entire Tuxertal. The valley can be explored without sweating and more breath is left to marvel at the mountain panorama! Should the battery run out, you will find numerous e-mountainbike charging stations distributed throughout the valley.

Particularly popular: Bike & Hike - with a e-mountainbike you first go comfortably up to the mountain pasture and then in hiking boots to the top of the mountain peak - a perfect combination. The idea behind it: the long forest road is comfortably overcome with the e-mountainbike and the last climb to the mountain top is done on foot. After a unique summit experience, it's back to the valley on an e-mountain bike.

From the Eggalm mountain station, follow the signs "Bike & Hike Grüblspitze" until you reach the Bike & Hike parking lot.

From the Bike & Hike parking lot, follow the path towards the Grüblspitze summit cross. From there you have the opportunity to continue hiking towards Stoankasern or Ramsjoch and the Torseen.

Mountain bike rules

Mountain biking is a sport that entails dangers. Correctly assessing the conditions and your own riding skills avoids dangerous situations. If you’re not sure which routes are suitable for you, simply enquire at the Tux-Finkenberg tourism office. Here you’ll receive information from the local staff.
Furthermore, here are some rules and guidelines to make cycling in the Tuxertal valley easier for you:

  • Safety always comes first. Wear a helmet – save your brains!
  • Please close all gates, barriers and meadow fences after use.
  • Cyclists aren’t the only ones out there: treat the animals and plants living there with care!
  • Don’t leave any waste behind in nature.
  • Avoid unnecessary noise.
  • Please stay on the marked trails – respect your boundaries!
  • Only ride so fast that you can stop at any time.
  • Give hikers and pedestrians right of way.

Bike break-down? No problem!

The right tools are essential on any bike tour. Everyone’s experienced a blowout in the middle of the forest with no repair shop in sight. Remember to pack the following before going cycling:

  • Multi-tool with 4 mm and 5 mm Allen key
  • Phillips head & slotted screwdriver
  • Riveted chain bolts
  • Chain lock
  • Replacement inner tube
  • Pump
  • Tyre lever

This will ensure that you enjoy a nice bike tour without any mishaps!
