1,500 m - 3,250 m, in operation year round for skiers and hikers, daily from 8.15 a.m. - 4.30 p.m. Barrier-free and handicaped accessible ascent up to 3,250 m. In total 60 km of highly varied ski slopes (11,5 km easy, 34,9 km middle, 2,3 km difficult, 8,2 km ski route), 9 t-bar lifts, 6 chair lifts, 6 cable cars.
Snow, ski and snowboard enthusiasts need to look no further than the Hintertux Glacier. Even in the summer months, up to 20 km of open pistes are a hive of winter sport activity. International teams from 52 far flung nations have long since chosen Austria's only all year round ski region as their preferred training destination in Europe. From December through to April, the snow-sure areas of the Hintertux Glacier, Eggalm, Rastkogel, Penken and Mount Ahorn form the Ski & Glacier World Zillertal 3000. Fresh powder pistes in all levels of difficulty, virgin deep snow slopes and challenging moguls are just what every ski enthusiasts dreams are made of.
