Sat, August 03, 2024 | New times have dawned and old roots have been revived - the Schürzenjäger are going full throttle and inviting you to their legendary open air at the Finkenberger Festwiese in a picturesque setting on August 03! The line-up is packed with top-class guests from Austria and Germany: Alexander Eder & Band, More Than Words, Zwirn, Fairtrade Floyd and Blechgewitter will honor the fans of alpine rock this year and let a musical tremor roll through the valley. The Finkenberg Open Air, the Zillertal's top event, and the Schürzenjäger are waiting in the wings, because on the first weekend in August the motto is: "Hey man!Hey woman!"

Lush green alpine meadows and imposing mountains: this is the hiking paradise and vacation region of Tux-Finkenberg. But once a year, the Tux mountains and the small village of Finkenberg are transformed into the Mecca of Zillertal alpine rock! Fans from near and far make the pilgrimage to the open air and the Schürzenjäger and their guests ensure an unforgettable mountain summer in a musical way.

Because in Finkenberg, the SCHÜRZENJÄGER are "Dahoam" and Alf Eberharter and his band rock the stage of the Open Air Festwiese like there's no tomorrow! Singer Dominik "Ofi" Ofner, Alfred and Alf Eberharter, Andreas Marberger, Dennis Tschöke and Christof von Haniel, as well as the big live brass combo, give the fans their money's worth. A firework display of hits from Schürzenjäger classics and the latest chart breakers to sing and dance along to is guaranteed.

It is the loud YES to life that makes ALEXANDER EDER & BAND the artist who infects the audience with his positive attitude. With his easy-going manner, the musician wraps his messages in a unique musical guise. His unmistakable grating voice and catchy sounds meet lyrics with emotional depth. The exceptional talent has it all: A certain twinkle in his eye, deep messages, a lively charisma and above all - musical passion!

MORE THAN WORDS: This is the trio with the "new country" sound of Stefanie Hertel, Lanny Lanner and Johanna Mross. The band makes you forget old clichés and leads the audience into the new country wave with banjos, mandolins and steel guitars. With them they have distinctive and powerful country-rock-pop hits full of sincerity, warmth of heart and joie de vivre in the Nashville sound!

With ZWIRN, all (three) threads runtogether: The three Upper Austrians celebrated a hit with their alpine version of "Das Mädchen auf dem Pferd"! True to the motto "No stress, no grief - life is too precious for that and, above all, the fun is too great!" Zwirn want to see one thing: dancing bankers, singing mothers, twitching punks, bobbing heads and grinning people!

The Austrian combo FAIRTRADE FLOYD plays heavy rock the way it should be - raw & dirty! The three-man band delivers the unmistakable sound of their songs with instruments such as the one-string "Diddley Bow" or the "Cigar-Box-Guitar". A very special blend of handmade rock music and raw vocals!

The musical thunderstorm from southwest Styria - BLECHGEWITTER! The highly motivated musicians arrive in Finkenberg with trombones, horns, trumpets, bass and drums. Blechgewitter impress with their love of music and find their musical home in modern brass music and traditional brass music, always incorporating new musical styles into their repertoire and even providing musical amusement on a cruise in the Mediterranean!
