The day of the transhumance is one of the most important days for Tirolean sheep. On 12.09.2020 the sheeps came back to Finkenberg!
The day starts early in the morning. All sheep and Haflinger horse breeders leave the "Berliner Hütte" in the Zemmgrund. The herds are brought down from the alpine pastures via Ginzling back to Finkenberg. In early afternoon they will arrive in Finkenberg and they get traditionally welcomed with a great party!
Try some of the traditional dishes such as "Melchermuas", "Zillertaler Krapfen", etc. and enjoy traditional sounds and current top hits. See how the locals use to dance and taste original Zillertal specialities offered at the framers' market!
