This challenging guided hike of the Nature Park Zillertal Alps is ideal for all hikers who enjoy hiking in alpine terrain. A plus is the fantastic view of the Schlegeis reservoir and the surrounding mountains.
From the Olpererhütte to the Friesenberghaus - guided hike in the nature park
This round tour leads us to two historical refuges on the Berliner Höhenweg. We start our dreamlike high mountain circuit on the Schlegeis and hike over many steps and hairpin bends up to the Olpererhütte. Shortly above the hut we cross a suspension bridge, which has recently achieved great fame through social media, and hike gently up and down a panorama path out of the valley. From a hilltop we see the picturesque Friesenbergsee and directly next to it the Friesenberghaus (2,498 m), to which the path leads down compactly in steep bends. After a leisurely break with a view of the lake, we hike over the Friesenbergalm past many streams down to the Schlegeis reservoir.
